A Traditional English Country Pub... The Vine Inn is nestled in the heart of the beautiful Clent Hills. A warm welcome awaits for all those who want to come out to a traditional English country pub. We offer a wide variety of traditional wines and ales and a tempting selection of ciders from fruit ciders to scrumpy. Our first class menu has been selected by our chef to offer a mixture of traditional pub favourites to his own tasty and exciting specialities.

The Vine Inn was first registered as the “Clatterback Water Mill” and what was once the old mill pond is now the garden with a decking area built near to where the water wheel was housed. It was first used as an inn offering home brewed beer, bed and stabling in 1851.

Reviews "The specials boards had a couple of interesting candidates for the main course, in the form of wild boar and venison. My boar was served with a red wine sauce, onions, mushrooms and sauté potatoes and did not disappoint."

"We had a great evening at The Vine. The meal was good, the atmosphere was homely and the conversation interesting and driving home both Margaret and I arrived at the same thought - anyone who had The Vine as their local was very lucky indeed."

"Many thanks to all the staff at the Vine for making mom’s birthday perfect. Everyone realy enjoyed their visit to your pub and we intend to come again and again in the near future."

SEE WHAT THE CUSTOMERS ARE SAYING...

Walking in Clent The Clent and Walton Hills both rise over 1000 feet above the midland plain, giving breathtaking and beautiful views as far as the Cotswolds and Welsh boarders. Less than 8 miles from Birmingham city centre, their breezy summits and open spaces have attracted generations of West Midlands visitors. Today the national trust protects and cares around 440 acres for everyone to enjoy.

As you walk through "Horse’s Mane Woodland", you’ll pass lots of old beech ‘pollards’. These are 250 year old trees which were cut just above head height so that they sprouted a mass of branches low down, providing food for livestock. Today, they are home to insects, beetles and nesting birds.
